Midway through Medicine



postings,that is. 3 of our 6 weeks postings in medicine this term have been completed!
though i haven`t read even close to half of what i should have read! just the number of books available to study medicine is enough to confuse the most determined person. add to this, the innumerable signs we have to pick up clinically, names of all those signs to remember,specific drugs of choice for each type of a disease(i did not know the drug of choice for legionnaire`s pneumonia), comments from our professors that we are not reading at all.....those only-professors-can-hear murmurs,especially the early and mid diastolic murmurs, can leave you quite frustrated, make you think- aren`t my ears normal? what if i dont hear these murmurs at all???
this is getting tougher and tougher.

add to it, the many distractions on tv,the localites like me have to face, what if the ipl is over, euro 2008 has started, the french open finals is today, a tri-series involving India-Pakistan-Bangladesh has begun!......
hope Federer wins today;-)

some of the students lie just to gain attention...abt tennis..i want nadal to win this time!!!

maybe some students do, but i somehow feel i dont pick up the signs,especially the mild hepato and splenomegaly(happened today) signs at all!
and your wish was fulfilled, nadal played a fantastic match!

Married man!

Yup, that's what I've been for more than an year now. It also has been more than that since I've posted here. Marriage might be one of the reasons!     Done with comprehensive ophthalmology fellowship at Dr Solanki Eye Hospital.... Currently, I am working in Sapthagiri Institute of Medical Sciences. Those are the significant updates in the past year or so.      Happy New Year😃

12 years of blogging!

It has been more than 12 years since my first post on this blog! More than 10 years since I seriously started blogging. And more than 3 years since my last post on this blog. Time seriously flies! I was just going through my previous posts, most of them from the year 2008. It was as if my life was playing out in front of my eyes. Lots of fond memories, few frustrations....
